A desk is your workplace. unfortunately, a desk gets cluttered with stuff quite easily. This desk is designed to stay empty. It has a large work surface with building storage. Beneath the white lids are interchangeable baskets with variants such as subdivided storage compartments and build-in power outlets. The desk is a custom design and currently in the prototyping stage.
This drawing was made for a friend, to visualize their idea for a plastic shredder. To reduce space used by the current plastic recycling bags.
This is not just a watch, it’s a way to experience time on a different level. It was designed to fit me and my intentions. I spend a lot of my spare time in my workshop. A place where I can lose track of time, which is a feeling that I desire. The time watcher helps me not waste my time but still enable me to feel free.
Daily Design is a fictional magazine made by designers for designers. It shows the art that is hidden in the design of everyday objects. The magazine has one issue each season. For the Daily Design magazine there was not just a cover designed, but also an example article page.
In my home town is a small forest with in the centre the ruins of what used to be castle Seldensate. As a kid I used to wander around in those ruins while trying to imagine what this place was once like. So, I took it upon myself to bring the castle back from its ruins by creating a 3d-reconstruction.
I designed and programmed this website, because I wanted to be able to share my work not just once, but frequently by being able to update it, something which cannot be done with a PDF portfolio.
An exercise to experiment with digital drawing for concept generation. using transforming tools to quickly create different iterations. Creating a container that could be used for storing lunch.
Final assignment of the course Design Sketching 2. A hand-drawn exploded view of a bicycle light. With an emphasis on the different materials and their visual properties.
In Design Sketching 3 we learned to use a digital drawing tablet. One of the assignments was to design a shampoo bottle. This was the result of experimenting with forms to create a strong design.
As part of the course Design Sketching 2, we had to design and render a tour bus by hand. This is the result. A sketch focused on a front and back view of the whole bus, combined with an enlarged detail.
To practice digital drawing, I created this hand. While showing the basics this iron man hand drawing shows the skills of an industrial designer on the tablet.
For the group project ‘virtual product design’, we designed the concept of a smart festival. Using a special wrist band, you gain easy access to the festival, find friend and pay for consumptions. Designed to enhance the experience of the festival ganger and Increase profits and gain information for the organization.
I’m a fanatic industrial design student, that loves to create. From simple ideas to full concepts, even my spare time is spent on inventing solutions and creating new ideas. Even as a child I was always trying to improve the way things were done by creating all kinds of contraptions. As eager to learn as I am, I am always searching for knowledge on all kinds of subjects. This combined with my study gave me a large set of from the top of my head knowledge.
And now I’m ready to put my skills to the test, as I’m searching for a graduate assignment.
